Dr.Joseph Olander is currently serving
as Chairman of CCE Board of Directors

Dr. Olander eraned his Ph.D. from Indiana University,
where he was awarded an NDEA Title IV Fellowship in political
science with a specialty in the comparative governments and
politics of China, Korea, and Japan.
Dr. Olander has served in a broad-ranging and
diverse set of administrative and academic roles within higher
education in the United States, China, and Australia. He served
as President of The Evergreen State College, Westmar University,
and Marycrest University. At the vice presidential level, he
served as Executive Vice President of Florida International
University, Vice President for Academic Affairs at the University
of Texas in El Paso, Provost at Golden Gate University Pacific
Northwest, and Vice President for the Golden Gate University
System in California. Moreover, he served as an academic department
chair, an academic dean, assistant professor, associate professor,
and professor. At the state level, he served as Special Assistant
for Higher education in the Office of the Commissioner of Education
for the State of Florida. He served as Chair of the Board of
Directors of Global Education Services, actively involved in,
and responsible for, strategic planning and project development
and training in Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the Pacific
Basin.
Dr. Olander has authored, co-authored, and edited
48 published books of myth, poetic literature, education, cultural
studies, and one of which—Run To Starlight—was given an Outstanding
Book of the Year Award by The New York Times.
Dr. Olander is a lifetime and active member of
the International Association of University Presidents. He has
served for eight years on the Education Council of the United
States Olympic Committee.
Mr. John Mullins (right side on the photo)
is currently serving as the vice Chairman of CCE Board of Directors

The photo shows his meeting with the Lieutenant
Governor of the Gansu Province Mr. Ze Bazu during his visit
to China in 2008. Mr. John Mullins once served as a project
Superintendent in the construction industry in 1980's. In 1990's,
he served as construction coordinator / combination building
and fire inspector in the city of South San Francisco, then
he became a Chief Building Official and Flood Plan Administrator
in the city of Hillsborough. In the meantime, Mr. Mullins teaches
at the College of San Mateo in the fields of Building Code,
Mechanical and Energy Codes.
Mr. Bill Cook is currently serving as
a CCE Board Member

Born in Pasadena, California, Mr. Bill Cook was educated at
the California Institute of the Arts, Humboldt State University
and Woodbury Business College where he studied fine art, music
and business.
International cultural exchange activity is one
of Bill Cook's specialties. During the past years, Mr. Cook
has served in diverse professional and charitable capacities.
He operates a real estate business that serves the San Francisco
area as well as the greater United States through a network
of trusted real estate professionals. He is Director of World
Service Programs for the Rotary Club of Half Moon Bay, California.
In the field of International youth exchanges, he directed various
Exchange Programs including Group Study Exchange for professionals
between Japan and Sweden and the United States, Ambassadorial
Scholarships providing deserving students with the opportunity
to study in foreign countries and act as cultural ambassadors,
projects providing clean water for impoverished areas in Latin
America, programs providing education for orphans in Africa,
and many other local and international programs such as a free
medical clinic in Half Moon Bay and free wheelchairs for the
needy in Mexico.
Just recently, Bill Cook served as the first Director
of the San Mateo County Farm Bureau Water Quality Protection
Program for the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, a program
developed by a coalition of twenty-seven federal, state, and
local agencies, public and private groups working together with
cities, harbors, businesses and the agricultural community to
enhance and protect the water quality in the Sanctuary and its
watersheds. Mr. Cook is an expert in environmental and water
quality issues, rural land management, flood management, anadromous
fishery management, wetlands and waterfowl management, endangered
species protection, and healthy human coexistence and interaction
within natural areas. Mr. Cook was the founding President of
the Natural Heritage Foundation and also served as Director
of the Cook Brothers Educational Fund. He also serves as the
Director of the Pescadero Foundation’s Flood, Fisheries and
Wetlands Program.
Mr. Cook conceived and created “Shopping for a
Better World”, the socially responsible shopping guide which
sold over a million copies, was featured on the front page of
the Wall Street Journal, and made the New York Times best sellers
list. This book has been revised and re-published annually for
many years and has inspired other similar socially responsible
shopping guides around the world.
One other thing worth mentioning is that Mr. Cook
also serves as President of the Half Moon Bay Chapter of Business
Networking International. He has over five years experience
as a Club Net member of Buffini & Company, the United States
largest business coaching company. Proudly speaking, Mr. Cook
was the Captain of the United States All-Star Latin American
Dance Team that won the bronze medal for the United States in
the World Championship of Formation Dancing held in Germany
